Hiscox appoints Kate Rarick as VP, BOP Practice Leader in the US
Atlanta, GA – March 31, 2025 – Hiscox, the specialist global insurer, has announced the appointment of Kate Rarick to Vice President, BOP Practice Leader. Rarick joins Hiscox from Nationwide, and will report to Paul Spelman, SVP of Underwriting Management.
Rarick will lead Hiscox USA’s Business Owner's Policy (BOP) practice. With over 15 years of underwriting experience, most recently serving as Nationwide’s Associate Vice President of Small Commercial Underwriting, Rarick has a proven track record of leading insurance professionals and contributing to product and portfolio management strategies. Prior to her last role, Rarick worked as a Claims Specialist, before progressing to Commercial Underwriter, and then Director of Commercial Underwriting at Nationwide. Rarick studied at the University of Iowa, focusing on marketing and risk management insurance.
