Hiscox appoints Karen Baldwin as Media Practice Leader in the US

Atlanta, GA – February 5, 2025 – Hiscox, the specialist global insurer, has announced the appointment of Karen Baldwin to Vice President, Media Practice Leader. Baldwin joins Hiscox from AXIS Capital, and will report to Tyler Peterson, SVP of Underwriting Management.

Baldwin will lead Hiscox USA’s media liability practice. With over 30 years of media underwriting and leadership experience, most recently serving as AXIS Capital’s Vice President, Media, Film & Entertainment Product Leader, Baldwin has a proven track record of building industry-leading media liability offerings. Prior to AXIS, Baldwin held media liability product management roles with One Beacon and Chubb, and started her career at Employers Reinsurance (a GE Capital company). Baldwin earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Gettysburg College.
